I spent my childhood at my grandma’s house. It was an old big house in a historic area in Tehran. I have a lot of memories of that house. During the covid lockdown, I felt something was missing inside of me. So I returned to my grandma’s house just like when I was a kid and used to live there. This house was different—a new apartment in a historical area of Tehran. Everything was changed! But for me, everything was the same as years ago. So I asked myself, why this new and different apartment is just like the old house?
I grabbed my camera and started to take photos of it. Then I found the answer. My grandma was responsible for all I could remember from the past. She makes this home, home.
